The University of Boyacá (UB) is a private national university founded in 1979 that has international accreditation, with headquarters in the city of Tunja. It is the first university in the country to receive international accreditation, remembering that it does not have high-quality accreditation in Colombia. It has a central office and three sectional offices in which 6 faculties, 21 face-to-face undergraduate academic programs and 19 postgraduate programs operate. . The university was created in order to become the first private higher education center in Boyacá.
