Grupo Éxito, one of the most important retail companies in Latin America, consolidated its corporate website as the official channel for communicating with investors, the media, and other stakeholders on key matters. The portal centralizes relevant information such as financial statements, official communications, content regarding sustainability, corporate governance, and job opportunities.
In order to modernize its digital ecosystem, Grupo Éxito undertook a technological transition to a more robust and flexible platform, capable of supporting multiple portals with different levels of complexity and audiences.
The starting point
Around 2017-2018, Grupo Éxito's digital ecosystem was composed of several sites with disparate technologies, making centralized management, compliance with corporate standards, and scalability difficult. It was necessary to have a unified technological solution that was secure, adaptable to different audiences, and that would allow maintaining functional independence between portals.
In addition, the site had to reinforce its role as an information channel for investors, guaranteeing transparency, stability, and easy access to strategic content.
The transformation strategy
After a thorough evaluation of CMS platforms, Drupal was selected for its modular architecture, scalability, active community, and focus on component reuse. Initially implemented in Drupal 8, the portal was successfully migrated to Drupal 10, ensuring continuity, new functionalities, and a more modern and reliable experience.
The implemented solution allowed modernizing the infrastructure, optimizing access to financial information, and improving content management by different teams. In addition, an environment was built to integrate advanced functionalities in the future.
