From April 19-21, the Moscone Center in San Francisco will be the meeting point for the Drupal community in a new edition of DrupalCon. For three days, developers, designers and enthusiasts from all around the world will gather to share knowledge, learn about the latest innovations and strengthen the open source community.
What to expect at DrupalCon San Francisco 2010
Conferences and keynotes
The event will feature presentations from some of the most influential names in the open source world:
- April 19: Dries Buytaert, will open the event with his keynote “The State of Drupal”, where he will share his vision on the growth of the CMS and what we can expect in future versions.
- April 20: Tim O'Reilly, CEO of O'Reilly Media, will give a talk on “Open Source in the Cloud Era”, addressing how cloud computing is transforming open source.
- April 21: A panel of experts will discuss “Open Source in Government”, featuring David H. Cole (Executive Office of the U.S. President) and Andrew Hoppin (CIO of the New York State Senate).
Coder Lounge: a collaborative space
In addition to the conferences, the event will feature the Coder Lounge, an area where developers can meet to exchange ideas, work together and contribute directly to the development of Drupal.
Post-event development sprint
For those who want to take their participation a step further, a development sprint will be held on April 22nd at the San Francisco State Downtown Campus. It will be an opportunity to collaborate on improving the Drupal code and contribute to the growth of the project.
